The Vernon Chiropractic and Massage Team

Dr. Michael Salmon, Chiropractor

Vernon Chiropractor, Dr. Michael Salmon

So many people have been frustrated at our society’s movement away from health. New drugs and surgeries seem to be at the forefront of research and funding, rather than helping people not to get sick in the first place. More and more eyes are being opened that our sickness model of health is indeed making us more sick. Other countries, other societies are getting healthier overall, whereas incidences of cancer, heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, etc. seem to be growing in North America at an alarming rate, despite our wealth and technology. People are getting worried – with good reason.

As long as professionals are being paid when people are sick, then the intelligent business model is to keep people sick and generate new patients. Wellness care is motivated to get people healthy and keep people healthy. This is what attracted me to the profession. This is what keeps me happy in my daily work. This is why chiropractic is now one of the highest utilized health professions on this continent – even right here in Vernon! This is why different wellness practitioners are able to work together as a team for your benefit.

Dr. Claude Weichel, Chiropractor

Vernon Chiropractor, Dr Claude Weichel

I was born and raised in Regina, Sask. After high school I attended Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. For over 30 years I have been practicing as a Chiropractor in Saskatchewan, Alberta and more recently British Columbia. I live with my wife, Tyna and son, Jaryd near Vernon. We are enjoying the Okanagan in every season – hiking, mountain biking and skiing.

I have experience in all aspects of family practice, treating everyone from small children and their parents to the elderly. I also have experience treating sports injuries and have worked as a team chiropractor for Canmore Bow Valley Eagles Junior Hockey Team and also a senior men’s soccer team.

I am excited to be part of a dynamic heath care team at Vernon Chiropractic and Massage. My goal is to provide Vernon with quality chiropractic care and to inspire people to lead a more active, healthier lifestyle. I will provide exercise and nutritional guidance when needed. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to health care. If a patient also requires massage, physiotherapy or acupuncture in conjunction with chiropractic, I will refer them.
